Welcome to the 5th Grade Accelerated Reading Blogspot

We were quickly outgrowing our Lincoln Tech Club Blog and I decided to create this new blog for you to share your work with your classmates.  Here I will post the projects we will be working on throughout the year.  We will share our work with other classrooms and students from schools around the world.

I will go over in class how to access this blog page through the Blogger Dashboard.  I will give you a username and password to access this site.  PLEASE write it down in a safe place and have it handy when you log-in to the blog each day and you will be in the blog editor.  I will go over all of the tools in class  you see in the editor and how to use them.

First Assignment: upload your avatar (build your wild self) to your blog. Click on the picture above and find your avatar picture on your desktop or documents folder.  Here's my son Alex:

Second Assignment: Please add your Glogster you created in class(make sure it does not include your last name, address, school or city you live in).  We want you to be safe and not give out any personal information.  I will show you in class, once I have checked your Glogster, how to insert it into your blog. Here's a link to the Glogster I created as a sample.

Third Assignment:  Please add your Summer Wordle creation to your blog page.  I will add mine below (hint:you want to insert a picture and find it on your desktop or your documents folder).  Make sure it is a JPG not a PNG file before you upload.

  If we have time, I will show you how to embed the Voicethread we created about our summer vacations.
