Great job so far on your blog pages, after we figured out the problems with saving on the network, most of you had little trouble posting your work. Please finish up your blog entries for the week by Friday. We will take a look at them in class on Friday using the LCD Projector.
Open Court Classics book- read the first story in the PERSEVERANCE unit called Call It Courage (pages 12-25). When finished use Pixie to create images of the tools that Mafatu created by hand in the story. Create an image and write a description of each tool that created along with the purpose. Make sure to save it as a JPG so that it can be added to your blog page.
We will be spending time discussing what Mafatu created by hand and how it helped him survive in the wilderness. We will use this discussion to start our first project which is Created By Hand.
In our technologically rich society, we sometimes forget the marvels that can be created with human hands. 'Handmade' is typically thought to be of higher quality. Why is that, do you think?
What ideas do you have? You can snap pictures, tell about the hand work, take a video... The possibilities are endless!
