The lost continent of Atlantis

Please read pages 54-67 in your Classics book. The story is called the Lost Continent.
After reading the story, please use the following links to do research on the Lost City of Atlantis.

Whether Atlantis existed or not is a matter of debate. Some people believe it was invented to illustrate a point during a philosophical argument in ancient Greece. Others believe the story is linked to the destruction of the Minoan civilization on Crete and Thera. While most scholars believe the story of Atlantis was born out of imagination, some maintain it is a true account of a forgotten ancient land. What do you think? Use the resources below to research the ancient city of Atlantis and decide is it FACT or FICTION? Present your ideas in a iMovie (please select a partner and use an iPod Touch) presentation and clearly state what you believe is true or not true based on your research. Did Atlantis really exist- it is up to you to decide!!!!
Have FUN!
